A. Teeth grinding at night (called bruxism) is fairly common in 3-year-old children and often happens during deep sleep. It may be due to teething, misaligned teeth, stress, or even a response to discomfort like earache or worms. In most cases, it resolves on its own as the child grows. To help reduce it, ensure your child follows a calm bedtime routine, is not overly tired or anxious, and check with a pediatrician or dentist if the grinding is loud, persistent, or affecting the teeth. In rare cases, treatment may be needed if it causes damage or pain.
