Q.

#AskTheExpert my baby is 3 months old. her poop is green colour for past one week and it's having mucus but she is not having cold. my ped advised to give mucolite drops for 3 days last week. only after giving the color of poop changed. I stopped giving as per dosage still it is green only. what will be the reason?

A. hi parents your kid is 3 months old passing green coloured stools in some babies is normal it is normally related to the gut motility occasionally seen in formula fed babies in case of persistence of green coloured stools you may give oral probiotics to the child

A. Hello dear parent! Can be due to your baby feeding only foremilk while breastfeeding. Any change in your diet also effects. As long as your baby is active and healthy, accepting feeds, no blood or foul smell in the stools, passing adequate urine, showing no discomfort symptoms then nothing to worry. Continue feeding your baby well on demand.
