#AskTheExpert my baby is 3 mon old.she takes only 60 to 80 ml milk for 3 to 4 hr interval.night she takes 5 hr interval.some times she takes 120 ml.she is super active.her birth weight is 2.9 kg.now she is 5 kg.is she taking proper diet

A. Compared to the birth weight the child's current weight seems to be ok. You may try to feed the child a bit more. Slowly increase the amount of feed and see if it helps. Your baby should be peeing anywhere between six to ten times a day which means the baby is taking feeds properly. Also there should be a gradual weight gain. Keep a check on these factors. Babies under six months take on an average around 750 ml to 900ml per day split up into seven to nine feeds based on their appetite.
