Q.

#asktheexpert My baby is 2yrs 9 months old .her potty is blackish color sometimes it is yellow...I'm worried.what is wrong with her.i've noticed that without consumption of iron related food/with consumption of iron food that doesn't effect color of potty.In both time potty color remain same

A. definitely if the stools are black it can be due to the iron supplements you are giving Do not worry much about the colour of the stool if the consistency of the motion is fine. Sometimes, babies when they are a drinking formula Milk or having cold cough or having iron supplements then stool can be darker in colour or green. For above 6 month babies.., leafy vegetables can also be cause. It's OK. Consistency and frequency matter more
