#AskTheExpert my baby is 2 years now but she continuously breastfeedduring sleeping both in the day and at night. I can't sleep at night due to continuous nursing. when I tell her not to suck and sleep she starts crying and screaming. please help

A. you can start night weaning for healthy breastfed children after 8-9 months of age. but before that night weaning breastfed babies can reduce your milk supply. reduce volume and frequency of feeding every night and it should be very gradual process this should be done oveer a month otherwise breast feeding mother will have engorgement and mastitis. when feedindg time and frequency has decreased to 1 to 1 times you can stop feeds at night time. make sure that the child is getting full diet during the day to decrease hunger at night time
