#AskTheExpert my baby is 2 year old and sucks thumb. please suggest some medicine which I can appy or any method to wean her

This habit has to go gradually. try to limit the time that your baby sucks his thumb to his bedroom or in the house, not in public recognize and praise him when he's not sucking his thumb never criticise engage him in activities that keep his hand busy Show videos on the dangers of thumbsucking, avoid negative criticism, baby may wear mittens, gloves or a thumb guard. Apply a bitter vegetable on thumb

AbhayaMom of a 15 yr 10 m old boy4 years agoA. Hi mom Normally the babies they outgrow this habit by three years of age. So no need to worry. U can apply neem juice or garlic juice on the thumb. The bitter taste of this will discourage ur baby to suck thumb. Take care
