#AskTheExpert my baby is 2.5 months old...he has severe gas issue and have to give carmicide for making him sleep...how much dose can be given daily if I have to give him everyday?

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. for gastric trouble you can give collicaid/gastica drops to your baby.proper burping for about 20mins to half an hour on the shoulder and tummy time after every feed helps a lot.cyclic motion of legs also relieves gases . gas related problem is very common in small babies because of many factor including immaturity of the digestive system. as well as usually in babies of 1 to 3 months of age it is a very common finding totu spit the milk after feed due to acid reflux which can be reduced by giving a proper burping after every feed. please see that you are not over feeding the child also .if it is very frequent you can give domstal drops also occasionally but only under medical guidance.
