Q.

#asktheexpert My baby is 2.5 month old and is on exclusive breastfeed. I want to keep formula milk as an emergency option or once daily. Please advice.

A. no dear it is not required and also not recommended nothing should be given to the child other than breast milk till six months are complete not even water introduction of formula and bottle can cause infections due to difficult cleaning Due to easy availability of milk a baby gets habituated to bottle-feeding & subsequently refuses to feed at the breast

A. i have given my baby Dexolac formula milk along with breastmilk since 1 month of her age.I tried few brands but I sticked to Dexolac formula stage 1(0–6m), and now continuing with stage 2(6 to-12m). I have taken consultation from my doctor and it passed for my baby's growth as well..
