#AskTheExpert my baby is 18 months old... before sleeping and during sleeping my baby put his thumb in his mouth and keep it in his mouth till the time he wants.... sometimes he leave it by himself when his tummy is full....due to sucking his skin peeled off from the thumb... I am very worried about this... what should i do... will it get cured by his age or time....

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 5 m old boy4 years agoA. it is very important that you have to stop this habit by regularly removing the finger from the oral cavity and then divert the child to some other activity so that the child forgets about it and by this method you can decrease the habit gradually
