Q.

#asktheexpert My baby is 11 months. I am feeding her khichdi, rice, veggies, apple. She is teething now and her appetite seems to decrease. She is also constipated. What can I do to help her with constipation?

A. Weaning has three stages in which it can be started . stage 1 consists of introduction of liquids and solid food which shall be done at 5 to 6 monthgus of age and needs to be started gradually step by step . stage 2 consists of more textured and new taste to baby by 7 months of age stage 3 in which a more variety of food can be started by 9-12 months of age...

A. try to give easy Chewing foods like upma, kichidi, well cooked potato mash, curd, frozen banana, pudding, cold cucumber and cold carrot. keep baby hydrated. Easy Chewing foods can help baby eat well and it woukd be comfortable for the baby too
