#asktheexpert My baby is 10 months old and her TLC blood test is 16.50 thou/mm3 is there any thing to concerned about?

A. hi mom it is important to know complete history and complaints ur child is having to comment on it so u should consult with the pediatrician for proper examination and treatment

Q. My baby is 1 yr old. He has fever 10 days back with cold n cough. After blood test, his tlc comes high 17000. Doctor gave some antibiotics and medicine for infection. Today, blood test is done again after 10 days but tlc is still high 16900. But no fever, cold n minor cough. Doctor examined and said it’s ok to have such high tlc. As per him, sometimes infection remain in blood but as baby is active nd no other signs are there. So no medicine is given. One other thing is baby is not taking milk since last 2 months other than breastmilk. Also, eating really less since last 10 days. Is it ok to have such high tlc or should we need to consult any other doctor.
