#AskTheExpert : my baby is 10 days old is it safe to use ceiling fan now as I was suggested by many to keep him warm

ExpertDr.Sabiha AnjumObstetrician and Gynaecologist5 years agoA. Yes you can keep the baby under the ceiling fan. You can even keep the baby in a room with air-conditioner or cooler. only thing is don’t keep the baby under the direct air of the AC or cooler. You are supposed to swaddle the baby or use a blanket and wrap it around the baby to avoid hypothermia.As it is summer use a cotton swaddle.

s madaanMom of a 9 yr 9 m old girl5 years agoA. Hi According to the temperature outside you need to maintain a good temperature inside the room to keep your baby say definitely you can use an air-conditioner also if it is very hot temperature of around 25° to be maintained for the babies
