Q.

#asktheexpert # my baby is 1 year and 3 months old and he is having fever since afternoon. I gave him fepanil 2.5 ml at 5:30 pm and welminic 2.5 ml at 6 pm. His fever has increased after 10:00pm and I again gave him fepanil 2.5 ml at 10:30 pm. What things should I take care at night as I can't visit any doctor right now. Have I given proper medicine in quantity? I am afraid that his fever might not increase more as I am noticing he is doing playing actions and sounds in sleep. Iam worried pls guide me Doctor

A. Hello, your baby boy is 15 months old and he is having a fever upto 100 degrees then if it doesn’t respond to paracetamol then give him ibugesic plus syrup 2.5 ml sos and cold water sponges

A. the baby is more than 1 year 3 months of age probably you are giving very less dose of paracetamol if the baby is having fever check the temperature of the baby in the axilla if it is more than hundred degrees give 5 ml of 125 MG paracetamol
