#asktheexpert my baby is 1 month old now, since her birth she didn't feed directly from mother, only pump feeding. which means baby is sucking bottle nipple properly but not mother's nipple though the milk flow is superb

A. So you can start using a nipple shield because that is going to give a better grip to the child to take a feed directly from the mother also initially they are very poor at latching which is why they do not accept milk very easily you have to make your own effort to feed the child right now she can try this and also she should press her breast with the hand for better flow of milk and convenient latching of the child
