Q.

#asktheexpert my baby has develop a pus in his neck since 1 month. the surgeon has done I & D, he is on continuous dressing. initially his culture was negative for TB and c/s. later it was postive with acetenobacter. 7 days of collistin and amikacin had been given but still there are development of pus pocket. why is it happening?

A. Is going to take a little longer time you continuously giving the medicine but sometimes the problem is bigger than it looks like I can take a little longer time to subside completely so continue with the medicine suggested by the doctor and even after another course of medication if the child doesn’t feel better or the issues persist then you may have to go for further testing with your doctor
