Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children1 Year agoA. uPost vaccination swelling may be a common thing specially after DPT vaccine which may be painful for two or three days and the swelling may remain even up to month so if it is not causing any pain or other symptoms nothing to worry.
Swelling can be reduced by giving ice fomentation locally and paracetamol can be given for fever or pain.v
Thrombophobe ointment can be applied in acute pain and swelling .

Keep an ice cube on the affected area and after that you can apply this tube called Thermophob onto that area which is what is going to be beneficial in reducing down the swelling and if the pain is much and the child is constantly crying then you can give paracetamol to the child that is going to be helpful
