Q.

#asktheexpert my baby grunts and makes noises all through the night and early in the morning. Seems like there is a lot of gas accumulated which she wants to release but is unable to. While she passes little gas , some poop comes out too. What should be done in such a case?

A. here are some key points for managing gas-related issues in infants: 1. burping after feeding: ensure to burp your baby for 15-20 minutes after feeding to release trapped gas. 2. multiple burping sessions: burp your baby multiple times during and after feeding to prevent gas buildup. 3. upright positioning:keep your baby upright after feeding to prevent gas from causing discomfort or colic pain. 4. feeding techniques:ensure proper feeding techniques to minimize air intake and reduce gas issues. 5. consult a pediatrician: if gas issues persist, seek advice from a pediatrician to rule out any underlying problems.d observing your baby's cues and adapting your caregiving practices accordingly is essential for managing gas-related discomfort effectively. d

A. Hello there ma’am please do not worry about it too much. Please massage baby stomach with BabyHug coconut oil clockwise and anti-clockwise. You can also apply hing water on baby stomach. Also do some cycling leg exercises of the baby to relieve from constipation and gas. Please make the baby burp after every feed. Mother should chew saunf and ajwain after every meal. Thanks and take care
