#asktheexpert my baby girl is 6 day old and having jaundice. Her total Bilirubin total is 8.57, Bilirubin direct 0.42 and Bilirubin indirect 8.2 on 26.12.2024. Is she need any medication?

A. Actually very normal I don’t see any medication anyways for medication are not given to the child it’s only that they are going to suggest you to keep your child into indirect sunlight and you can phototherapy with the jaundice levels are high which are not in this case
