#AskTheExpert my baby girl is 4 month old. She often has gas problems ... also burping less these days ... due to she is not able to sleep... also she has cough cold since 2 days

ExpertDr. Pandurang sawantPaediatrician2 years agoA. Exessive cry is very common under 6 months of age bcz of gas in stomach
Exclusive breast feed ur baby till 6months of age.
Feed ur baby with proper position.
Burp properly after each and every feed for at least 10 min or till baby take 4 burp.
Give Tummy time 4-5 times in a day time
If still issue persist then
Give colic aid drops 0.5 ml (if needed).
Maximum 4times per day.

try heat fomentation
take a clean Cotton clothe
heat the tava
place Cotton clothe on it for few seconds
now check with your hands first and make pouch of it
it should not be too hot
then place it on your child chest and back

for gas problem,it would be best to use Babyhug tummy roll on
it give fast relief in this
please give small and frequent feeds
but don't overfeed your child
burp your baby well after each feeding,try different burping techniques for this
