A. It’s normal for many babies, especially under 6 months, to wake up at night for milk as their tummy is still small and they seek comfort. Some babies start sleeping through the night (5–6 hours) by 3–6 months, while others may take longer. Every baby is different, so don’t worry if others her age sleep longer. You can gradually encourage longer sleep stretches by ensuring she gets enough milk and food during the day (as per age), and keeping a calm, consistent bedtime routine. If she’s healthy, growing well, and just waking for short feeds, she’ll likely start sleeping longer on her own in the coming months.
