Burp your baby properly after every feed. Feed in an upright position and keep your baby upright for 15–20 minutes after feeding. Avoid overfeeding or feeding too quickly. Gently rub your baby’s back when hiccups start.
Hiccups usually go away on their own. But if they happen very often or last a long time after every feed, consult your pediatrician to rule out reflux or other digestive issues.
