What could be the reason for his low weight gain and why is he not drinking milk for longer periods?

A. If baby is eating solid food then it is fine but give it in small amount. May be baby is full because of solid food so he doesn't want to take great feed . It happens some times when baby starts eating solid food then he doesn't want to take breast feeding so don't worry and sucking hands is common but try to remove ut

A. Maam Licking or sucking the hand is completely common with kids and would like to tell you that it is not an age to introduce semisolid food you have been early with it which is why maybe a child is not interested in having breastfeed anymore like that and which is why maybe the weight also has gone down
