A. Hello Ma'am don't worry it is quite normal . Baby will change the timing every week. But it is really necessary for a 5 months baby to sleep in the day time . You can give a good oil massage with Johnson's Baby Oil for 10- 15 minutes following a gentle bath . I feel after a good oil massage baby always sleeps. I am saying this from my experience. you can also try.

A. If your baby is not sleeping during the daytime, here are some strategies you can try to encourage them to rest:
1. Establish a Consistent Routine: Create a calm environment: Babies feel secure with consistency. Try to establish a consistent nap routine, with activities like gentle rocking, soothing lullabies, or swaddling that signal it’s time to sleep. Set a routine: Make daytime naps a regular part of their schedule, ensuring they have set nap times, typically 2-3 naps a day for babies under 6 months. 2. Create a Relaxing Environment: Dim the lights and keep the room quiet to create a sleep-friendly environment. Soft music or white noise may help soothe your baby. Room temperature: Ensure the room is at a comfortable temperature (not too hot or cold) to help your baby sleep peacefully. 3. Watch for Sleep Cues: Babies give subtle signs when they’re tired, such as rubbing their eyes, yawning, or becoming fussy. Try to put your baby down for a nap as soon as you notice these signs. 4. Make Daytime Naps a Priority: Avoid overstimulation right before nap time. Keep activities calm and quiet to help them wind down. Swaddling or using a sleep sack can also make your baby feel secure and comfortable. 5. Feed and Change Before Nap Time: Ensure that your baby is fed and has a clean diaper before attempting to put them down for a nap. A full tummy and dry diaper can help them sleep more soundly. 6. Gentle Rocking or Patting: If your baby is having trouble settling down, try gentle rocking or patting to calm them. Avoid picking them up immediately; sometimes, babies settle after a little soothing. 7. Make Sure They’re Not Overtired: If babies are kept awake for too long, they can become overtired and have trouble falling asleep. Make sure they’re not awake for long stretches, especially in the early months. 8. Avoid Overstimulation: Overstimulating your baby before naps can make it harder for them to fall asleep. Keep the environment calm and peaceful during their nap time.
If your baby continues to have difficulty napping despite these efforts, it might be helpful to consult your pediatrician to rule out any underlying causes such as discomfort or health issues.
