#asktheexpert My baby caught cold and cough. doctor prescribed Cetirizine and Ambroxol drops for 3days. After 3 days of medication he is still not cured, should I continue the same medicine or I should visit doctor again?

A. If your baby still has cold and cough after 3 days of taking Cetirizine and Ambroxol drops, it’s best to revisit the doctor rather than continuing the medication on your own. Sometimes, viral infections can take longer to clear, but if there’s no improvement, a follow-up check is important to rule out secondary infections or the need for different treatment. Avoid giving extra doses without medical advice.
