ExpertDr Disha PatelAyurvedic Physician4 years agoA. Hello, Loss of appetite is normal for a child after fever and any illness. Its important that she drinks plenty of fluids to prevent dehydration. In breast fed or formula fed babies Continue breastfeeding or bottle feeding. offer clear liquids and foods with high water content like juices (diluted to half water and half juice), soups. Serve up her favorites food..be respectful of your baby's likes and dislikes when illness makes her appetite iffy. If your baby doesn't want to eat, period, don't force it. And once they recover from their illness, their appetites usually recover too .
