#AskTheExpert My baby boy doesn’t sleep both in day and night , it’s quite on and off , please advise Also he is having constipation , there is frequent urination but he pooped after 2 days

A. It's normal at this age Feed ur baby properly before sleep Put a good quality diaper Switch off light or dim light helpful while sleeping at night Be with ur baby while sleeping Sing a song or lori Let ur baby sleep himself /herself It will help. It will take some time to the baby to adapt to the bedtime routine. Have some patience. Don't worry. Constipation is quite common in babys less than 1yrs of age No need to worry for that Give tummy times  frequently  in a day time Feed ur baby as per demand Burp properly at least 10 min or till baby take 4 burp Keep a watch on urine output Baby should pass minimum urine 6-8 times per day If baby is feeling discomfort and crying exessively then Need to do rectal stimulation, apply some drops of oil over motion area It will help If doesn't work then Need rectal enema for which u need to visit ur nearest pediatrician once
