#asktheexpert My baby birth weight is 2.75kg and she is 1 month 4 days old and now she is weighing about 3.1kg is this normal.? i m feeding her every 2 hours..

A. the baby will gain 25 to 30 grams per day but in the first 15 days the baby will lose 10% of the body weight so I think the weight gain is going on good

A. Yes it is normal, The first month of life was a period of rapid growth. Your baby will gain about 1 to 1½ inches (2.5 to 3.8 centimeters) in length this month and about 2 more pounds (907 grams) in weight. These are just averages — your baby may grow somewhat faster or slower.
