#AskTheExpert my baby 2 months and 10 days old and is suffering from loose motions from last 20 days. we had give zifi in the initial days but our dr suggested not to give many doses as it is very much heavy dose. after so many days there is no improvement at all. please suggest?

Loose motion are most of the time infective where it is associated with fever and vomiting and its known as gastroenteritis where symptomatic treatment along with management for gdehydration is required if loose motions are associated with foul smell mucous high gradeh fever than it could be bacterial infection which needs antibiotics treatment

Take healthy protein rich nutritious food including fenugreek ajwain butter to increase your breast milk avoid stress stay happy it also help to increase your breast milk you can take lactogen tablet to increase bm
Burp well after evey feeding by holding your baby in straight right position and wait for burping atleat ten minutes
