#asktheexpert My 7th month is pooped thrice yesterday. Since morning he pooped 2 twice like loose motions. I had given him black dal with carrot ,potato yesterday. He looks normal & active though. Should I give him any medicine? Kindly answer Doc.

A. hi...Passing motion after solids is ok if baby is not in discomfort. Weight gain slows down after 6 months and further after 1 year. If baby has roughly doubled lowest birth weight at 6 months and is meeting milestones there is nothing to worry. Offer calorie dense, iron rich, nutrition rich food.
