#asktheexpert My 6 weeks boy sometimes shakes his legs for few seconds. is that normal?

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 6 m old boy3 years agoA. shivering in newborn can be due to startle e reflex and less likely d due to calcium deficiency. kindly continue to give breastfeeding to the child and take a video of the shivering and meet your doctor who will tell you whether it is normal startle reflex or it is due to hypocalcemia.

Ankita MehtaMom of a 9 yr 3 m old girl3 years agoA. hi usually it is normal but if Child is doing it frequently or for long period ,it is better to visit your pediatrician for proper evaluation. please dress your child in weather appropriate clothes keep the room temperature moderated
