#AskTheExpert My 5 month old son recently lost some of his hair at the back of his head and also I noticed some white patches of dandruff in the middle of the scalp can you please let me know the reason for this

POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 7 m old boy4 years agoA. The exact cause of cradle cap isn't known. It's likely due to a combination of things. Too much skin oil (sebum) in the oil glands and hair follicles and a type of yeast found on the skin called Malassezia may play roles in the development of seborrheic dermatitis.
