#AskTheExpert my 5-day boy is not passing motion. Since mom was not lactating we had to feed the baby with N pro powder. But later when it started with moms milk he’s not passing the motion.

ExpertDr Disha PatelAyurvedic Physician3 years agoA. common.. wait till 7 days.. typically breastfed babies will not poop as often because their bodies absorb most of the breast milk. going even a week without having a bowel movement is okay. gd

Nihita mittalMom of 4 children3 years agoA. good afternoon it is very common for small children to have constipation I would recommend that you should try to put coconut oil in the rectum of the baby on a daily basis to reduce this issue
