Q.

#asktheexpert My 5.5 month old baby plays for about 2 hours and naps only for 45 mins. Is this normal? He takes about 3-4 naps a day each lasting exactly 45 mins. Night time sleep is 9 hours. Is he getting adequate sleep? Will his naps naturally lengthen?

A. sleep will be taken according to the need of the child so if the growth of the child is proper do not worry much about the sleeping pattern and sleep hours and it will obviously change from time to time and thenf stabilize. if overall the child is play full and is well responding then do not worry about the hours of sleep and they will not have any problem. (please note if sleep is inadequate then growth will not be proper so if growthf is proper then no need to worry about sleep)

A. hi well, each child is different and having own different sleep pattern,so if your child looks happy and active, showing no discomfort other than this, gains enough weight then no need to worry about it much
