#AskTheExpert my 43 days old baby hasn't pooped since 4 days... but yesterday she had lost appetite n was very much discomforted.. she passes the gas though

ExpertDr Disha PatelAyurvedic Physician3 years agoA. typically breastfed babies will not poop as often because their bodies absorb most of the breast milk. going even a week without having a bowel movement is ok.. apply hing padte around navel. feed in different position

Sonam PrasadMom of 2 children3 years agoA. hi dear Most babies will have 1 or more bowel movements daily, but it may be normal to skip 1 or 2 days if consistency is normal. Breastfed babies' stools tend to be soft and slightly runny. The stools of formula-fed babies tend to be a little firmer, but should not be hard or formed.
