#AskTheExpert my 4 month old baby passes stool on alternate days. he has been passing hard stool like adult since 5-6 days. is this normal?

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Constipation in Babies less than 6 months is very common angd more in formula fed babies. you can give bonnisan drops and some enzyme preparadtions in proper dose suggested by doctor and cow's milk should be avoided before 1 year of age

Its Mostly due to constipation since your child is passing motion every two days which is why the motion of the child probably could be really hard and a lot of times due to dehydration in the body also it can be a possibility if you want you can ask your doctor for some stool softness for the child
