A. #ASKTHEEXPERT my daughter has more than 15 episodes of vomitings and 1 loose stool with temperature 99. Doctor has given injections of ondem and pantop 20 mg. , prescribed metrogyl 5ml 3 times and ofloxacin syrup with 5ml twice a day. I have a doubt whether I can use both antibiotics or not. if used does it increases gastritis. kindly suggest.

A. after 2 episodes of vomiting wait for one hour then give vomiting medicine (syp ondem/emeset) 7ml and then again wait for one hour and then give only easily digestible food.d do not give anything to eat in this 2hr waiting period. if vomiting occudrs again then meet your doctor. avoid giving milk and heavy diet. vomit usually occurs due to gastritis
