Q.

#AskTheExpert My 3 weeks baby exerts a lot of pressure before passing gas or stool. she becomes restless, curves her back her face becomes red and then she cries . she looks in lots of pain... Is this normal?

A. it happens can be gas is a common issue and affects all new born babies. avoid bottle feeding . Burp baby well for 15 mins after each feed. Can do cycling motion of legs. Can make baby lie on tummy to relieve gas. Give gastica drops 1 ml for ease. Colic pain is worse at night and needs drops meftal spas 1 ml . Give mother feeds only
