POOJA KOTHARIExpecting Mom due in 1 month3 months agoA. Allergy-like rashes on a 3-month-old baby’s upper body, head, and face could be due to heat rash, eczema, detergent or fabric sensitivity, or food allergy (if formula-fed). At this age, baby skin is very sensitive, and even slight triggers like sweat, harsh soaps, or synthetic clothing can cause irritation. To help, bathe the baby with lukewarm water, use a mild, fragrance-free baby soap, and apply gentle moisturizers like Cetaphil, Sebamed, or coconut oil. Dress the baby in soft cotton clothes and wash garments with a baby-friendly detergent. If the rash is red, spreading, or oozing, or if the baby is very uncomfortable, consult your pediatrician for further evaluation and treatment.
