Q.

#AskTheExpert my 3 month old feeds only for 4-5 mins at max. she feeds only to sleep. and at times when she is not able to sleep, she continues to eat her hand and ask for feed every 2 mins for an hour. how to ensure milk supply in such situation? also, when she's asleep, she does not take feed easily, she will cry if forced and go back to sleep. how to ensure she asks for milk when hungry

A. Hello mom if the baby is sleeping peacefully don’t wake him up to feed , also keep a track of weight gain of the baby , monthly gain is about 300 GMs to 1 kgs monthly and 4 to 6 months they tend to double it . Try to have you meals before baby feed time and also massage your breast well regularly, that help in good milk flow
