Q.

#asktheexpert My 3 month baby is completely BF. not passed motion for 9-10 days and pead aaked to put glycerin suppository and after that he passed motion. Now again it’s been 7-8 days he has not passed motion, Shall I again put suppository? Is it ok to give suppository again and again?

A. Hello good morning !! It is not recommended to use suppository frequently. As baby is on Breast feed constipation is normal in few babies until 3-4 days is ok,if baby is active ,taking feed normally without gas,tight tummy discomfort. But as its been 7-8 days ,do tummy massage with warm castor oil or coconut oil gently massage in clockwise direction with finger tips for 5-8 minutes,this will helps in relieving from gas,constipation issues.
