Q.

#asktheexpert my 2months old baby girl is not sleeping properly, she is active and healthy but not sleeping. She was sleeping only 5 to 6 hours in whole 24 hours. That too in breaks like 30minutes one time and1 hour one time. Please give us some suggestions on this. She was taking moms milk and formula for every 2 to 3 hours upto 120ml

A. Totality of child is only sleeping for five or six hours out of 24 hours or what that’s not clear to me because if one month old child is there for 18 to 20 hours at least 8 to 10 hours if that is not happening you should consult your paediatrician

A. Hi...If she is active it's not an issue my baby was also having the same pattern. They will automatically start sleeping after some time. My baby started sleeping for the whole night after 3 months. Every baby is different just go with the flow. It's my experience if you have any instinct please consult a doctor. Feeding at every 2 hour is not required after 1 month. feed as per demand and just my suggestion if feasible try to offer more breast milk and stop formula.
