Q.

#AskTheExpert my 26 month old boy does not talk or understand our basic language ,sometimes it seems he is understanding but not always...he tries to copy words but doesn't repeat..he knows some alphabets and says some of them when he see them and tries to repeat objects when he watches videos ..am worried what to do..how i should make him understand speak..please suggest

A. Don't worry first of all spend a lot of time with your baby. play sing dance and everything else do with him Like make sounds of animals ete. don't expect he will repeat everything yet he will keep everything in his mind so don't worry. secondly make simple way to communicate with your baby like use simple words of your own mother tongue for example aa jaa etc so that he will follow your command and most important use signs for everything. show him birds animals trees everything inside and outside of home.try to make him play with other children too so that he will shout with them. don't worry
