#AskTheExpert my 1 month old son has nasal congestion. am giving him nasal drops. but even then he is not comfortable. please suggest something

Nasal saline drops can be given again and again to the child because it is salt water which will help in decreasing the nasal blockage by by clearing the mucus Try to prevent temperature variations around the child which is the most common cause of cough and cold in small children For fever and pain give paracetamol Continue the regular diet which is being given to the child

AbhayaMom of a 15 yr 10 m old boy3 years agoA. Hi mom Continue to put nasal saline drops to unblock nose. Also give indirect steam to ur baby 2-3 times in a day. This will help to open the blocked nose..roast ajwain and garlic. When aroma starts to come, then tie it in a muslin cloth. Keep it by the side of the baby. When the smell of this is inhaled by the baby, this will help to open the blocked nose, give relief from cold.
