Q.

#asktheexpert my 1 month old girl baby has a small knot on her right side (above ear) of the head. it is not growing. is there anything to worry??

A. they are lymph nodes and are part of normal human body. you have to take any interventiogn and meet your doctor only if they are causing pain as well as they are increasing in size. many times durfing infection they will increase in size and they will again decrease in size when the infection gets controlled.

A. It is most likely an enlarged lymph node. Lymph nodes are body's first line of defense and the one below your child's ear may have increased in size due to the existent rash, or cold/cough/fever. Once the reason is resolved, it's size will reduce on its own.
