This is common in infants and usually causes tears to accumulate in the eye, leading to swelling or discharge. The condition typically resolves on its own as the duct clears up. However, you can gently massage the area near the inner corner of the eye to help unblock the duct. Make sure to keep the eye clean by wiping away any discharge with a clean, damp cloth. If the swelling or discharge persists, becomes yellow or green, or if you notice any redness or discomfort, it's important to consult your pediatrician for further evaluation and treatment.
