A. Hello dear parent We need to know if the bleeding is due to the movement of crusts or if it is due to the patent umbilical vein and you have to consult your doctor

However, contact your baby's health care provider if the umbilical area oozes pus, the surrounding skin becomes red and swollen, or the area develops a pink moist bump.
