A. If your one-year and two-month-old baby is struggling with constipation and having difficulty passing stool, it may be due to factors like a low-fiber diet, dehydration, or a change in routine. To help, you can increase the intake of water and high-fiber foods like fruits (apples, pears, prunes), vegetables, and whole grains. Offering more fluids, especially water and diluted fruit juices, can also help soften the stool. Gently massaging your baby's tummy or doing light tummy exercises can stimulate bowel movement. If the problem persists, it is advisable to consult a pediatrician for further evaluation and treatment.
