#AskTheExpert mam my baby is of 3 months...i am giving her both breastfeed as well as formula milk...can i now switch to packet milk instead of giving formula milk?

A. dear Mum, no, you should not give packet milk or any other external milk to your baby until 6 months.. you should either exclusively breastfeed or give formula till 6 months if breast milk supply is not sufficient.

A. At 12 months old (but not before), your child can be introduced to cow's milk. Before your child is 12 months old, cow's milk may put him or her at risk for intestinal bleeding. It also has too many proteins and minerals for your baby's kidneys to handle and does not have the right amount of nutrients your baby needs
