#AskTheExpert Mam i am 25 weeks pregnant and in 2nd level ultrasound doctor said there are 2 umbilical cords i.e., there is single artery. Does this affect our baby? I am very tensed๐Ÿ˜”

A. needs e detail testing. see more you can ask your own treating doctor. i am sure they will solve all your doubts and guide yousee only the doctor who can see you in person can judge what is the right status. best to trust her

A. you have mention single artery no problem but weekly or two weeks consultant to doctor and take care

A. A proper clarity on the situation would be provided by a gynaecologist whatever doubts you have associated with that kindly check with your doctor and the doctor would be built to help you in clearing volume down associated with that

A. yes..it may .. you should consult with fetal medicine expert . they have some advanced scan for fetal .. because this can affect baby's kidney and heart dovelpment . and be concerned about baby's movement . never sleep on your back . and don't be tensed .. it's not necessary that it will harm your baby but there are some percentage of risk with this . I had my second daughter with Single Umbilical cord and now she is one year old and absolutely good. and please consult with fetal medicine expert asap. they can suggest you better.
