A. if the child faces history of constipation and the stool is hard you have to go about dietary modification and medicine if required Your child is having constipation for which kindly give plenty of water to drink and fibre diet made from cereals pulses vegetables and fruits. Specially give papaya banana oats fennel seeds water it will help in decreasing constipation and even after that the problem continues kindly meet your doctor for constipation medicine. it is important for you to know that the problem of constipation will improve with increasing age of the child. You may increase or decrease the dosage of constipation medicine if needed according to the consistency of the stool

A. give lots and lots of fibre rich foods. give more of green leafy vegetables and fruits.  give pear fruit.  give boiled corn regularly. give more water. avoid too much sugary stuff and maida biscuits. If your baby has completed 6 months of age then you can soak a few raisins in the water in the night. In the morning just give a few teaspoons of the raisin water to the baby.this helps relieve constipation. there is a drink called Ovaltine that you can make by mixing with milk. its chocolate flavour. just like bournvita or boost. If your baby has completed 2 years give that regularly for a few days. all these helped my son when he had severe constipation.
